Kalista seeks to change that. When her young and narcissistic uncle, Viego, becomes king, she vows to temper his destructive instincts, as his loyal confidant, advisor, and military general. But her plans are thwarted when an assassin’s poisoned blade strikes Viego’s wife, Isolde, afflicting her with a malady for which there is no cure.
As Isolde’s condition worsens, Viego descends into madness and grief, threatening to drag Camavor down with him. Kalista makes a desperate gambit to save the kingdom: she searches for the long lost Blessed Isles, rumored to hold the queen’s salvation, if only Kalista can find them.
But corruption grows in the Blessed Isles’ capital, where a vengeful warden seeks to ensnare Kalista in his cruel machinations. Das Buch war sooooo gut!!! Hätte ich echt nicht gedacht 😍 will unbedingt noch mehr aus dem LoL Universum lesen 😭
Spanned, fesselnd und ruinierend
Unglaublich packend! Da ich LoL spiele, musste ich mir das Buch natürlich ansehen. Der Schreibstil ist äußerst fesselnd und ich es spiegelt die Lore um die verschiedenen Champions verdammt gut wieder!

"Ruination" was a must-read for me as a fan of the entire League of Legends universe. It was thrilling to delve into the story and recognize the familiar characters. Unfortunately, the plot was quite predictable and somewhat drawn-out at times. If it hadn't been related to League of Legends, I might have been less inclined to stick with it. Overall, the book was okay – nothing remarkably exceptional, but a decent read for casual enjoyment.
4 stars I was skeptical at first, didn't know whether I'd still like a dystopian story with teenagers. But the further i moved on with the story, i got sucked into it. Even though it has all the chlichés, I really enjoyed it. :)
I (who doesn't know anything about LoL except the Arcane show) read this together with my boyfriend who plays a lot of LoL and we both had a lot of fun with it.
Ich habe dieses Buch geliebt, eine tolle Welt mit tollen Charakteren. Man braucht kein Vorwissen über die League of Legends Lore zu haben, um dieses Buch lesen zu können, auch wenn natürlich einige Referenzen eingebaut sind und die Hauptcharaktere Champions aus dem Spiel sind. Es kommt von Beginn an Spannung auf und man möchte ständig wissen, wie es weiter geht. Ich konnte das Buch nur gezwungener Maßen auf Seite legen und habe die knapp über 400 Seiten (englische Ausgabe) in drei Sitzungen gelesen.
