Ich habe bereits zwei Reihen von Audrey Carlan gelesen und eine Reihe nach dem ersten Buch abgebrochen. Auf Resisting Roots war ich daher schon länger gespannt. Das Buch hat mit dem Yogastudio ein sehr interessantes Setting, was mir gut gefallen hat und ich war neugierig wie dies in die Geschichte eingebaut wird. Zum Aufbau der passenden Stimmung werden zu Beginn von jedem Kapitel Yogapositionen oder Themen beschrieben, das fand ich sehr gelungen. Zur Geschichte kann man sagen, dass sie nett ist. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Ich wurde gut unterhalten, aber sowohl Handlung als auch Charaktere sind für mich ein wenig zu oberflächlich geblieben. Viv und Trent waren sympathische Charaktere, aber es war mir vieles zu überhastet und die Chemie war für mich nicht richtig spürbar. Resisting Roots war der Auftaktband zur Lotus House Reihe, wobei ich nun ein wenig unentschlossen bin, ob ich die Reihe weiterverfolgen werde.
