Spannende Milieustudie Aus dem Stripclub Lovely Lady in Fremont, Illinois verschwinden 1999 zwei Tänzerinnen. Eine wird kurz danach ermordet aufgefunden, die zweite ein paar Wochen später. Detectiv Holly Meylin und ihr Partner Victor Amador übernehmen den Fall und sind sich schnell sicher, dass es sich um einen Serientäte handeln muss. Ihre Ermittlungen konzentrieren sich auf das Umfeld des Clubs aber auch ein Polizist gerät ins Fadenkreuz. Real Easy ist kein Thriller im herkömmlichen Sinn. Zwar geht es um die Suche nach einem Serienkiller, doch viel mehr Augenmerk wird auf das gar nicht einfache Leben der Protagonisten gelegt. So wird aus den unterschiedlichsten Perspektiven erzählt, immer wieder gibt es Erinnerungen und Rückblenden. Jeder, egal ob Stripperin oder Polizist, hat mit seinem eigenen Schicksal und den eigenen Dämonen der Vergangenheit zu kämpfen, sei es der Tod eines Kindes oder der alltägliche Rassismus und Sexismus, der uns alle umgibt. Das ist immer wieder berührend, stellenweise schockierend und von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite spannend. Ich wünsche mir weitere Bücher mit dem Gespann Meylin-Amador! Mein Fazit: Spannende, psychologisch interessante Milieustudie und aufwühlender Roman. Sehr lesenswert!
2'5 STARS A ver me duele darle esta puntuación a Marie y es el que menos tiene en lo que llevo de año que esta siendo desastroso quitando a Sanderson y alguna lectura más y le he dado ese medio punto porque el ultimo tramo (que serán las últimas 50 paginas) ha sido lo más interesante entre comillas que tampoco era para tirar cohetes. Y vamos la The winners curse es una de mis sagas favoritas de la vida y cuando me enteré que había escrito otro libro y un thriller dije pues que buena oportunidad porque thriller no leo y la historia prometía pero es que me ha costado la vida coger el libro, luego había puntos de vista de todos los personajes del libro imaginaros un club de streptease, la policía y los mil personajes de alrededor pues todos tenían capítulos pero es que me contaban cosa que no me interesaban yo quería saber de la trama del libro y bueno ya cuando a mitad o un poco antes pasa una cosa que sin comentarios dije pero what the fuck is this En fin Marie te quiero pero no escribas más thrillers por favor y dame otps sufridoras y bonicas gracias
