There’s something good on the other side of grief, it just takes the will to find it. But the way out of the dark can be long and hard
Book two of the Sky Ridge Hotshots Series was as amazing as book one. I liked Cals and Scottie’s story very much and I liked Rowans and Violetts as much. I loved the way the author described their healing journey. Both protagonists are ridden with grief after Jacob’s death. Jacob was Violetts twin brother and Rowans best friend. But some wounds don’t scab over time, if not treated properly. And so Violett comes back home, after five years and a shattered marriage, only to find town still waiting for her. I loved the background, the secrets of the past and how they both slowly overcame their fears. Healing takes time and the author wrote it perfectly! PH is very good at addressing topics like grief and mental health issues like ptsd! I liked how she solved the topics round Violets ex husband and between him and Rowan. I really loved the dynamic between the MCs and the dialogues were so great! I loved the tension, the yearning and the spice! PH is a master in writing excellent yummy spice and it’s perfectly written into the story! The right amount of tension, the perfect amount of yearning and the perfect words! I LOVE PH spicy scenes. The climax in the end was very good and fit perfectly into the story! So it’s a 5/5⭐️ for me and I will definitely deep dive into book no 3 right away ❤️ let’s get on with Xander and Teddy!

Listen the audiobook! 🔥🌶️
I loved everything about this book. I don't usually like second-chance romances, but I really enjoyed this one. Violet is a strong single mother whose family and friends always support her. Rowan is a firefighter who does everything he can to get back together with her. I also love it when men are so good with children. The spice was great, and the firefighting aspect wasn't neglected, unlike in the first book. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook! 🌶️🔥
