Description

Roland Walter was born with spastic paralysis and works today as a Performance Artist. His Performance partners relate their encounters with his restricted body. Their varied impressions, experiences, and thoughts are presented in this book. My body belongs to me. It is my property, wonderfully created by God. I never grow tired of seeing its reflection in the mirror. But what am I doing with it? Just sitting here and being happy with that? What can my body do? What's in it? I want to find out. But how? I have physical limitations. In medical speak it's call spastic tetraplegia with athetosis, coupled with a severe speech disorder. This means I can move everything, but in an uncontrolled manner. Still, I want to explore my body. How can I keep fit? Where are my limits? There are so many training possibilities. What can I do despite my disability and what suits me?
