I mean, the story this book tells us unbelievable. At first an insight into the small time insanity of little league parents, and then a macro look at the enormous systemic insanity that has evolved out of it… in a way that only benefits the privileged few, of course. Then there is the tragic ending, not included in the text itself. I was very sorry to hear about the authors loss; clearly he had a singular relationship with his rather singular sounding child. My heart goes out to the whole family.
