strange but sort of immersive

This novel is one that I have read a few times now, and I don’t think that I have come to like it. While Clune very skillfully makes you feel like you are part of Nick’s consciousness thats slowly slipping away from him, it is extremely exhausting to read. Nick felt fully untethered from reality at times and that made it hard for me to truly enjoy him as a character, he disappears into the media he consumes and his delusions. Wouldn’t recommend this book to someone who doesn’t have higher academic knowledge or doesn’t have the time to look up and try to understand the references mentioned in the novel.
