We progress in the Saint of Steel series with another love story amid an action packed mystery. This time around Galen and the lich-doctor Piper both of which we know from the previous books in the series. The two of them are such likable characters and their budding relationship is just the cutest. They got thrown into a tricky quest alongside Earstripe the Knoll. We learn a lot more about the Knolls a a whole in this book which I found very interesting. I loved how Galen and Piper fought for justice and a little more equality for the Knolls in small and some not so small ways. The trio makes a fun and unique adventuring party and I was a litlle sad that this book in the series was rather short compared to book two and four. I hope we see more of Galen and Piper in future books.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 🌶️🌶️/5 Paladins Hope hatte genau die Vibes, die ich mir von Paladins Strength erhofft hatte. Der quirlige und leicht exzentrische Rechtsmediziner Piper war mir bereits aus dem ersten Band super sympathisch und ich hab mich gefreut ihn als Protagonisten zu sehen. Seine Wonderworker-Fähigkeiten waren ein überraschendes Extra und eine spannende Bereicherung für die Story. Bei Paladin Galen war ich erst ein wenig skeptisch, da er ähnlich wie Istvhan bisher als lustiger Sidekick aufgetreten ist. Istvhan war für mich dann in seinem Buch wenig überzeugend, aber Galen hat als Protagonist super Spaß gemacht zu lesen und hat zu seinem lustigen Auftreten mehr Tiefe bekommen. Der Großteil des Buches dreht sich um das Aufklären von einer Serie von Leichen und war ziemlich spannend und Action reich. Wer die restlichen Bücher aus der Welt des Temple of the White Rat mochte, der wird hier auch wieder Spaß haben. Alle anderen sollten dringend mit den Büchern anfangen!
