War is coming and this time, no one gets out unchanged. Magic, love, and loyalty are pushed to their absolute limits in a world on the brink of collapse. If you’re ready for epic battles and emotional devastation… this one will ruin you (in the best way).
Oath of War delivers the grand finale of chaos, trauma, and emotional damage, because apparently one book of suffering wasn’t enough. Annika starts off captured (again, because peace was never an option) and must escape before the Lich King turns her into something worse than dead. Meanwhile, the kingdom is falling apart: the Barrier is gone, the king is dead, and war is in full swing. Basically, it’s a terrible time for everyone. Annika truly shines here. She’s no longer just surviving, she’s unleashing absolute destruction powered by grief, rage, and a concerning amount of responsibility. Orm and Alaric step up as her fiercely loyal (and slightly overprotective) partners, while also developing their own relationship, because why settle for emotional tension when you can have a full triangle of chaos? And let’s not forget Vahin, the dragon, who casually steals every scene like the superior character he is. My 4-star opinion: this book is a lot in a good way. Reviews praise its emotional intensity, character growth, and epic battles, and honestly, same. It’s packed with action, romance, grief, and plot twists, sometimes to the point where you’re like, “maybe we could calm down for five minutes?” (we cannot). It’s dramatic, intense, slightly overwhelming, but completely addictive. And yes, I suffered. Happily.
