I actually really enjoyed this book. Tracy and Sarah are sisters and are very close. After a competition, Tracy leaves Sarah to drive home on her own and by the morning Sarah has disappeared. A man called Edmund House is convicted for the crime but there is no body, so how did he do it? Where is Sarah? 20 years later a body is found and Tracy believes it could be Sarah. She also believes that Edmund was framed for the crime and goes out to prove it. How far is she willing to find out who the body is, how they died and find out who actually did it? This had me turning page after page. Its so well written and I love the characters in this. I really liked the fact that every time you suspected someone there was a reason to find them innocent so I had no idea who did the crime until the very end. Then there was the ending, I couldn't read it fast enough, it was brilliant and gripping. I recommend this book completely. Im actually off to read the next in the series. Loved it!
War ein Zufallskauf via Kindle gewesen - hatte sich aber gelohnt. Robert Dugoni schreibt spannende "Pageturner", die ein wenig an Harlan Coben und Linwood Barclay erinnern (was ja nicht das Schlechteste ist). "My Sister's Grave" (deutscher Titel: "Das Grab meiner Schwester") ist der 1. Teil der Tracy Crosswhite-Serie rund um eine toughe Polizistin aus Seattle. Tracy hat rund 20 Jahre zuvor ihre Schwester Sarah verloren, die einem Psychopaten zum Opfer gefallen ist und der seither lebenslänglich im Gefängnis sitzt. Doch Tracy ist überzeugt, dass die Indizien seinerzeit durch den Sheriff und den Staatsanwalt manipuliert worden waren und daher ein Unschuldiger im Gefängnis sitzt. Als nun 20 Jhare später endlich die sterblichen Überreste ihrer Schwester gefunden werden, scheint sich Tracys Verdacht zu bestätigen, so dass sie nun - gemeinsam mit einem als Anwalt tätigen Schulfreund - eine Annullierung des damaligen Prozesses und ein neues Verfahren anstrebt. Doch als der seinerzeit Verurteilte nun aus dem Gefängnis entlassen wird, setzt sich eine Gewaltspirale in Gang; Tracy begreift, dass sie einen schweren Fehler gemacht hat ... Mehr wird nicht verraten, um keine Spoiler zu erzeugen. Mir persönlich hat der Roman gefallen, der sich sehr flüssig uind spannend lesen lässt und auch eine Prise Humor enthält. Mal eine kleine Abwechslung zu den üblichen Krimis, die in New York/New Jersey oder Los Angeles spielen. Daher 5 von 5 Sternen *****
