Cosy Crime voller Illusionen Molly Murphy ist mit ihrem Freund Daniel Sullivan im Theater zu einer Illusionisten Show. Mit großen Illusionisten wie Signor Scarpelli und Harry Houdini. Als erstes trat Scarpelli mit seiner Assistentin Lily auf. Doch bei seinem letzten Trick, ich nenne ihn die zersägte Frau, geht etwas schief. Die säge trifft den Körper seiner Assistentin und verletzt sie schwer. Zum Glück ist ein Arzt im Publikum der Schauen kann wie es ihr geht. Daniel geht danach auch sofort auf die Bühne, was los ist. Sie wird augenscheinlich in Krankenhaus geschafft und Scarpelli verschwinden darauf hin spurlos. Houdini der später dazu kommt ist sehr erbost das er nicht auftreten kann, bis von dem Vorfall erfährt. Molly wird darauf hin von seiner Frau Bess, die ebenfalls seine Assistentin ist, engagiert auf Houdini aufzupassen. Wenige Tage passiert fast wieder ein Unglück, als Bess sich nicht mehr aus der Zauberkiste von Houdini befreien lässt. Doch das sollte nicht der letzte sein. Nach diesem Vorfall springt Molly als Houdinis Assistentin ein. Und bei Houdinis letzten Auftritt passiert etwas unfassbares Houdini verschwindet spurlos und ein toter Mann wird aus der Kiste herausgeholt. Es stellt sich immer noch die Frage, wer für die ganzen Unglücke und den Mord an dem unbekannten Mann verantwortlich ist. Für Molly wird das ein harte Detektivarbeit. Das Cover passt sehr gut zum Titel des Romans. Das Buch ist in einem sehr flüssigen Stil geschrieben. Der Roman ist sehr spannend und manchmal dachte ich schon ich weiß wer es ist. Aber ich lag fast immer falsch. Das Buch regt an selbst Detektiv zu spielen und das gefällt mir sehr. Also ein echter Leckerbissen für Cosy Crime Fans und alle die gerne Krimis lesen. Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Buch der Molly Murphy Reihe. Cozy crime full of illusions Molly Murphy is in the theater with her boyfriend Daniel Sullivan for an illusionist show. She is apparently taken to the hospital and Scarpelli disappear without a trace. Houdini, who joins in later, is very angry that he cannot appear until he learns of the incident. Molly is hired by his wife Bess, who is also his assistant, to take care of Houdini. A few days there was almost another disaster when Bess could no longer be freed from Houdini's magic box. But that shouldn't be the last. After this incident, Molly steps in as Houdini's assistant. And at Houdini's last appearance something unbelievable happens. Houdini disappears without a trace and a dead man is pulled out of the box. The question still arises as to who is responsible for all the accidents and the murder of the unknown man. It's going to be tough detective work for Molly. The cover goes very well with the title of the novel. The book is written in a very fluid style. The novel is very exciting and sometimes I thought I knew who it was. But I was almost always wrong. The book encourages you to play detective yourself and I like that very much. So a real treat for Cozy Crime fans and everyone who likes to read crime novels. I'm looking forward to the next book in the Molly Murphy series.
