Mohammad Reza Schah Pahlavi, geb. am 26. Oktober 1919 in Teheran; gest. am 27. Juli 1980 in Kairo, war vom 17. September 1941 bis zum 16. Januar 1979 konstitutioneller Monarch des Iran. Am dem 15. September 1965 wurde ihm vom Parlament der Titelzusatz Aryamehr ("Licht der Arier") verliehen. Er folgte seinem Vater Reza Schah am 17. September 1941 nach, nachdem dieser einen Tag vorher zu seinen Gunsten abgedankt hatte. Seine Krönung fand am 26. Oktober 1967 statt.
