Gelungener Abschluss der "Blackwater" Saga, in der Michael McDowell mit der Story und seinem einprägsamen Schreibstil punkten konnte. Wer auf Action steht, wird dich hier vielleicht langweilen, denn die Geschichte selbst ist eher ruhig, entwickelt aber dennoch einen unheimliche Sogwirkung. Ich werde Elinor und ihre etwas andere Familie auf jeden Fall vermissen.
