I can only recommend the audiobook, read by Taaron Egerton (with a fore- and an afterword by Elton John himself). And this comes from someone who usually does not enjoy audiobooks. But Taaron's reading voice felt like it captured Elton's words in the sense that for most of this book I felt like I was sitting with Elton in Woodside for an afternoon tea and just listening to him tell his life story.
