Description

I’ve ruined everything.I had a mate. Resonance. Happiness. But then T’chai’s attacked by ravenous sky-claw and almost killed. To help him recover, I tell the healer to turn off our unfulfilled resonance. It's temporary...or so I think.Big mistake. Because now my khui acts like it’s dead and it hates T’chai. But I still love him. How do we move forward when I can’t bear his touch? Is there a way to get back our happiness together, or is it time to give up on what we once had?T'chai has other plans, though. He's not giving up on us. If it means crossing the world, he's ready to do it at my side.

"FINALLY" is what I thought when I get the email notification that this book had come out. Mari's story is one I've been waiting for since Lauren's story is (lemme check) OCTOBER 2017!! But, don't worry it was worth the wait!! So Mari got to the smocky island, just like Lauren, she resonated, just like Lauren, but nothing else was as smooth as things were for Lauren (and yes, things really weren't that smotth for Lauren but compared to poor Mari, Lauren took a nice stroll and that's good for her). Mari's mate, T'chai, gets injured on the island and is still injured when they get to the Icehome beach, and in order for him to properly heal, the healer, Veronice needs to turn off Mari and T'Chai's resonnance, openning a whole new can of worms of problems. This was just heartbreaking from start to finish. I loved the book, it's great, you should read it, you should read the whole series. But I also lowkey hated it because poor Mari deserved better. I think one of the things I loved the most was the "little village" dimension where their problem wouldn't actually be as big if people stopped pushing and give unnecessary advice and it jus makes everything harder to have everybody in your business, I really liked that. Of course I love Mari, she's an introverted, shy, sweet character who opens up thanks to T'Chai and that's what we love to see. And of course T'Chai is just awesome, patient and understanding although things must've been really hard on him too.
