Love, Pamela zeigt Pamela Anderson ganz anders, als viele sie aus Baywatch oder dem Playboy kennen. Nicht als Klischee, sondern als echte Person, eine Frau, die ihre Zeit mit ihren Kindern liebt, eine hoffnungslose Romantikerin ist und sich am liebsten draußen aufhält, vor allem in ihrem eigenen Garten. Besonders schön fand ich zu lesen, wie Pamela mit dieser Biografie bewusst mit alten Stereotypen und Vorurteilen bricht. Sie steht für sich selbst ein und zeigt dabei, dass man Menschen nicht auf ein Image reduzieren sollte. Ein ehrliches, persönliches Buch, das definitiv überrascht.
„Love, Pamela“ zeigt Pamela Anderson von einer völlig anderen Seite als ich zunächst erwartet hätte. Sie wurde ihr Leben lang durch die Medien und die Gesellschaft auf ihr Äußeres reduziert: das Playmate, die Schauspielerin aus Baywatch. In diesem Buch zeigt sie ihre weniger bekannten Seiten: die Mutter, die Aktivistin, der Freigeist. Sie spricht über ihre Beziehungen, ihre Kinder, ihre Tätigkeit als Aktivistin, über ihr Verständnis von Liebe, Erziehung, Naturverbundenheit und Kunst. Puh… ich hab über einen Monat für diese knapp 200 Seiten gebraucht. Ich liebe Celebrity Memoire und es war auf jeden Fall interessant, aber es fehlte einfach ein roter Faden. Ich konnte ihr nie wirklich folgen. Dennoch ist zu erwähnen, dass sie eine unglaublich faszinierende Frau ist und ich sie bewundere. Ich denke, sie ist privat sicher unglaublich sympathisch.
