The rare thing in the novel is that the lovers, after finding out that their love cannot succeed, try to take revenge upon themselves, as per their respective masculine and feminine mental characteristics. Even though, it seems ---- but ultimately, love triumphs even in death. The writer had also given a few lines from the song of legendary Hollywood actress-singer Barbara Streisand on the lips of one of the main characters in the novel . It has the classical canvas yet with a modern glare.
