4.5⭐️s for this one. Definitely an ending and twist I never expected. I thought it was going to be a 3⭐️ when I assumed I had figured out part of the plot but that was determined as a lie.

Social Media is bad, we get it. It was interesting in the beginning, but it went on for way too long. Ending was ok though.

This is my live review while I read. Prologue He saw her car. Chapter 1 Father and toddler son decide to surprise mummy, and follow her car. Unfortunately, they are following her to a hotel. That is not a good place to follow your wife, ... and then surprise her. Most likely, she will surprise you... Chapter 5 A lot of coincidences or things happening at once are effecting this father's decision making. Chapter 7 "A hotel?" she said. "Near Bent Cross. I was worried about you." She shook her head. "I wasn't at a hotel, Joe; I was at tennis. Thursday night social, same as always." The author is attempting to create suspense or danger by having the criminal element use the fathers lost phone to post to his facebook account. The father is saying, who is positing this and oh my gosh everyone can see it. The wife is explaining herself and supposedly telling the truth, after she lied, but I feel like she is saying a bunch of pointlessness that is not even worth being read. Chapter 11 In a previous chapter, the father gets beat up by the man his wife was with at the hotel. The man steals the fathers phone to post on facebook. What is the father's response to this?I wanted to give him a call, ask him why he'd put those messages on my Facebook account and Could I have my phone back please? You can tell this man is not ready for dealing with dangerous situations and that everything that happens next is going to be stupid. Chapter 12 The author is really trying to stretch this story to book length. Chapter 13 You have to commit to this book. It's going to drag the story out for years. Chapter 15 The problem with this book is that the father is worried about the man who beat him up and stole his phone, but he has no interactions with this man. So there is no reason for there to be any problem between them. The only trouble is his wife. She was at the hotel with the man and does not seem to be worried. So whatever is going on, he just needs to talk to his wife. Strangely, he doesn't even think of that as an option."What's going on with Ben?" I said locking the patio door. "Why is he threatening us all of a sudden?" She shook her head. "I don't know. No idea. It's crazy."I guess that's why the book is called lies. It should be called the lying wife and the stupid husband who believes her. Chapter 16 The wife is about to confess something else about what she knows, but once again, is it worth reading? Lies is the book title!!!!!! It's too early in the book for the truth to actually be revealed, isn't it???? "Just tell me," I said again. "It doesn't matter." {Well I slept with your father, a dog and a chipmunk, and now the video is on the internet.} -This is not actually in the book. "I'm sorry, Joe." The breath caught in her throat. "It was so stupid." Chapter 19 The author is really good at making the story book length. Chapter 20 I am making the decision that I don't care enough about this story to read the whole book. Obviously, the end is AT THE END, and I JUST don't want to keep reading that FAR! The only thing that happens in this book is adding one detail at a time to the lying story. The man doesn't seem to question his wife enough for me. He just accepts everything she says. Nothing other than that, OR interesting is going on. I imagine that there is a big reveal AT THE END, but who will still be reading by then? The End P.s. The real title of this book should be boredom.
