This is my live review of the book. Chapter 1 She's worked in college admissions for 1o years. She was a great person:She was friendly and kind, trustworthy and responsible. She was a deeply caring person and extremely hardworking, and thorough about everything she did. She has a female friend. I imagine this as the type of book you read while drinking hot coffee. Since you can't drink it fast, you have forever to sit there and turn these pages. I am learning too much about this woman, whose, name is Brigitte. If I needed something to occupy me while I spent hours finishing hot coffee, this would be the perfect book. I realize, that what you do is read about the details of other people's lives in a book, but this seems like an information dump. Now I am learning about how the best friend went to a sperm bank to have a kid. She is not the main character, and the info is not necessary. I don't see how a person with a not perfect life could read this book. It's making me feel bad thinking about how I am getting older and don't have a relationship. These are not topics I want to think about in the way this book is pressing the issues. Unless in the end of this book, the woman will love her life MORE because she is single and almost 40. The End
