This was one of the series where the first book is mid but the second one really gets good. As before, the plot isn't without any holes, and I'm irritated that Nia didn't resolve the issues she had with her mum. But overall, I'm happy with the ending we got.

If you have read my other reviews - you might wonder why I’ve read book 3 - but I cannot NOT finish a series or book. Verrrrrry hard for me. So this was slightly better because it had a bit more going on. But the author still wasn’t very creative in finding new ways to tell the story. I did not have this paying-off moment at all. Talan could be such a complex character but she is not really digging. Yes, he has a trauma and wohooo-not so bad - we knew that from the start, let’s be honest. Nia is doing some fighting but also has no real character grow even though she finally owns ONE decision. The end battle is freaking boring, the Raphael-issue is not resolved, the freaking banquet at the end made me cringe and the ending is abrupt. It’s all resolved too quickly and if it is resolved - in the most boring way. So yeah, better than book 2 but there is too much she does not mention or unpack. A no from me again.

The third book is disappointing...

I've read the first two books and found them good. It had so much potential, the story and characters but it was getting boring the more I read. The end of book two already seemed like I wouldn't like where the story went...the tension between the main couple was lost and I had to dnf this book in the end. Over all this series is ok but I personally had problems with some names, and the language being used, like the f word seemed not appropriate at times..
