Description
When Armand Gamache receives a letter inviting him to an abandoned farmhouse outside of Three Pines, the former head of the Sûreté du Québec discovers that a complete stranger has named him as an executor of her will.
Armand never knew the elderly woman, and the bequests are so wildly unlikely that he suspects the woman must have been delusional - until a body is found, and the terms of the bizarre will suddenly seem far more menacing.
But it isn't the only menace Gamache is facing. Louise Penny vom Allerfeinsten. Erst beginnt sie wieder ihren gemütlichen Strang mit unseren altbekannten Protagonisten in Three Pines. Dann schafft sie es wieder meisterlich zwei Handlungsstränge in einem Buch zu vereinen. Nichts ist wie es zu sein scheint! Und in den letzten 100 Seiten nimmt das Buch so rasant an Fahrt auf, dass man es nicht mehr auf Seite legen kann. Chapeau! Meisterklasse!
Egal wie viele Gamache Bücher ich lese, es macht einfach immernoch Spaß. Auch dieser Fall war wieder unglaublich spannend und es war toll, Theorien aufzustellen und zu rätseln, was passiert ist; nur um festzustellen, dass man nicht alles erraten hat. Nur die Nebenhandlung mit Amelie hat mir nicht gefallen, einfach weil ich ihren Charakter nicht mag, weshalb es diesmal nur vier Sterne gibt. Ich freue mich aber schon auf die folgenden Fälle und welche Geschichten Louise Penny sich noch ausgedacht hat.
