Spoilers ahead Book #2 didn’t capture me and almost made its way on my DNF. But I pulled through. Arlo is an unlikeable character and I honestly don’t care for him. He is self centered and selfish. Faenir deserved better. Idk what he sees in Arlo. The romance seems one sided. And while I believe Faenir to love Arlo, I never believed Arlo. It just seems like we are supposed to believe that Arlo loves him? I devoured the first book so I had high hopes when it came to this one. But I was let down. At times the book was downright boring even though I already had an inkling who is behind the the attacks on Arlo. In the end it was pretty clear who was behind everything. It just wasn’t my cup of tea and while it had good passages, I wouldn’t pick up that book again. Also, I hy was Faenir such a bit towards the end? He was there for Ana when her daughter died and then didn’t care anymore after their house burned down? That actually made me dislike Faenir in the end. Well at least Charon got it better in the end. For him having played such a big role in Faenirs life, faenirs did treat him badly. Justice for Charon. Also posted on goodreads
