Description
Shay Eastwood is the object of the world's fantasies.
Occupying every magazine cover and television screen.
And I have one job.
Protect her with my life.
It didn't matter that she occupied my every thought.
There were too many reasons why she couldn't be mine:
I'm too old for her,
I'm all she has left.
My only job is to keep her safe.

Genre: romantic suspense Tropes: – bodyguard romance – actress x bodyguard – celebrity FMC – stalker – jealousy – spicy – possessive MMC – age gap
This book is exactly what I bargained for, exactly what the tropes promise, and exactly what I expected. The resolution to the stalker storyline is a bit too obvious, but I don‘t mind that – I think I needed that, as weird as that may sound. Shay is the kind of FMC I like. She doesn‘t let herself be pushed around, and puts her foot down when needed. I understand that Damien falls for her. And I understand that she falls for him too. He is attentive and calm (two very important qualities), and yeah, a bit overprotective too (but he is her bodyguard, so no surprise here) The tension between them is there from the start, I could feel it right away. The flashbacks feel a bit rushed in my opinion…though I‘m happy they are there because I liked the insight. 4/5⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
