Great read! Fantastic movie!

I definitely enjoyed reading this book because I found out that this book exists totally random by looking at the books that Libby has to offer from my library. I realise that I have seen the movie before like many many years ago but never knew that there is a book of this movie or that the movie is actually faced of a book so I was really excited to learn that there’s this book and reading it was actually so much fun because it definitely gave away more than the movie did especially with the whole background story for each character and it’s definitely a book with a few topics that are not easy to read for some of you so that check the trigger warnings because it contains graphic scenes or mentions of rape and murder but it’s also a really funny book as well so it contains a little bit of everything and I definitely enjoyed reading it

Great read! Fantastic movie!

5 stars to this book because I really enjoyed it (obviously) and it was more than I expected. I got to know it through the released movie trailer featuring Daniel Radcliffe, so about that. Every question the book poses gets answered and I'm really glad about it because there were parts where I thought 'Damn, he'll leave it unsolved' but until the very end. Basically, it's about this guy called Ig Parrish whose girlfriend Merrin Williams gets raped and murdered one night. Passed out drunkenly that night and not remembering a thing, everyone accuses Ig that he did that since he doesn't really have an alibi. But Ig knows, somehow, that he hasn't committed that crime since he IS a really good guy, wouldn't hurt a fly and loved Merrin to bits. Anyways, one year later, on Merrin's first year being dead, Ig goes out drinking and wakes up the next day with horns piercing through his skull skin. He discovers that when he's close to people they will tell him their darkest and dirtiest secrets. He also discovers another power that helps him find the real murder of Merrin. And wow, that book was evil! The secrets people had and told when under the influence of the horns were horrifying. Makes you think about what people will think and tell differently in real life. Just cruel. Anyways, lovely, dark book I really enjoyed to read.
