    Cas and Jason

This was the swooniest (is this even a word?) book ever. So cute it is unbelievable to me. I’m a big big fan of Emmy Sanders, and I love the Elite 8 series, I only have one book left (🥲), but I think, this one has to be my favourite book. Everyone should have a Cas in his life. He is such a care bear, and the moment he has Jason by his side, his mind is really occupied by him. This book contains no big drama, even though it has a heavy background, but Emmy understands it perfectly not to give it to much space, barely enough. I’m not sure if I’m ready to start another book today or even tomorrow… cause my mind is full of love for these two guys… and Brad. I love Brad, such a great sidecharakter, who owns his own book (10 ways to accidentally fall in love), and I downloaded it the moment I learned about it. So… I’m torn apart, do I have to read the last one (for me) -teddy- of Elite 8, or do I have to interrupt and read Brads book…. A serious decision to make. Thank you so much to let me join your ARC readers, to read felix last year, otherwise I think I would never be aware of what it would be like to fully fall in love with this whole series.

This was really beautiful. My favourite from this series is Malibu, but Himbo comes close. Jason and Cas's story is so sweet yet definitely substantial and both their characters are written so well I really got a feeling for them. Cas with his family background and his endless will to do good and Jason, who is a little unsure in who he is, and who's another demi representation I liked, but who is definitely not the average demi person. And I loved seeing them both grow into the people they're supposed to be and watch them learn who they really are deep down. The awareness/rep for Huntington's disease also was gorgeous and all the little life lessons coming with that, which can also be applied to other situations or conditions in life. The found family at Elite 8 studios was - as usual - great to see and I just love healthy sex worker rep. Both their families are gorgeous and I'm just glad there are more and more queer books showing supportive and healthy environments, we've got enough negativity in the world.
