It might sound ridiculous. I get it. It kind of was, but college was supposed to be my sanctuary. It was my place to start over. The rumors, the whispers, and the jealousy I endured through high school would all be gone.
No one would know me at college.
Rule #2: No drama.
I'd major in pre-law. I'd make a few loyal friends. Everything would be easy-breezy. No one was going to use me or hurt me. I wouldn't let them.
Rule #3: New year. New place. New me.
Right?
Wrong.
And all because of Shay Coleman.
Football captain and quarterback, he was the big guy on campus. The cocky guy in my political science class with a smirk.
I hated him on sight . . .
. . . and he was about to break all my rules.
Hate To Love You is a full-length standalone.

I wish I could rate this higher but I just can't. Kennedy and I, we just don't get along with each other. When I started the book she already confused me with her actions and weird behaviour but close to the end I was just are you serious girl? The way she talked and thought about other girls ? It really made me feel ashamed of my own gender omg. This really shouldn't be read by girls who already are insecure about themselves because the slut-shaming in this book is a ABSOLUTE NO GO! Also her prejudices against EVERYONE she doesn't know. Okay girl I get it, you've been marked from your ex-boyfriend and girls who treated you badly but no reason to act so bitchy. Also I was really disappointed by the revelation of Parker, like that's all?? I really dislike Kennedy as a character, probably not as much as Keira from Thoughtless but she's coming close. There were just too many scenes that bothered me, for example the dick scene or the last scene with Cameron like bitch are you drunk ? I hoped there would be some kind of character development but nope she's still the same self-centered mean girl like before. She's exactly that kind of girl in high school or college that I despise, immature and annoying. Shay was the only highlight of the book tbh. And the sex scenes haha. He's true perfection *swoon* That's probably the reason why I think he deserves better than Kennedy, sorry not sorry. I can't really see why he loves her (probably because I can't stand her HAHA) but their whole relationship only consisted of mindblowing sex. No talking or any kind of communication. It would have solved a lot of problems. Also I don't really buy her feelings for him. It feels like she only needs someone to save her, someone she can be with so she doesn't need to be alone. Ugh, the heroine just ruined the whole book for me. Also the last quarter of the story was completely unnecessary, it just draaaagged. But there were a few things I liked about it, for example the secondary characters like Casey, Linde and Kennedy's brother. Nevertheless I can't give more than 2 stars due the main character and neverending drama.
