Stormy Seas and Scots.
A cozy Scottish island, a grumpy carpenter, and a heroine starting over? Yes please. I loved the tension, the small-town Scottish moody vibes, and the romantic suspense that kept things moving. Ramsay is peak broody-Scot energy and the chemistry was HOT. That said, parts of the romance felt a little insta-lusty and some drama dragged longer than needed, but overall it was addictive and a really fun start to the series.
I absolutely DEVOURED this book! This book had me hooked an it was the fist book in a long while I just couldn’t put down and it had me reading „just one more chapter“ hours into the night. It is like one of Samantha’s GREAT original romances from way back and gave me a bit of On Dublin Street Vibes. The story was thought out and not rushed and the characters where really well developed. I also loved the setting of the small Scottish Island. And Ramsey… DAMN he is a MAN and do fucking swoonworty and hot! I didn’t even mind the 3rd act conflict, because it made sense for the characters.
