A ghostly December love story wrapped in yearning, nostalgia, and Christmas magic 🎄✨
Good Spirits by B. K. Borison had not been on my radar until it completely blew up on all of my social media channels. I initially wanted to start another Christmas-themed (dark) romance, but my curiosity got the better of me, so I checked Good Spirits out. Through Lovelight Farms, I already knew that B. K. Borison and Christmas are a match made in heaven. In Good Spirits, we follow the life of a chronic people pleaser, Harriet, who, come December 1st, is being haunted by the Ghost of Christmas Past. Just this time, the Ghost of Christmas Past is not a wrinkly old man, but a broad and very handsome Irish fisherman. How this story plays out, I could not have foreseen. Good Spirits swept me away in an instant and melted my heart on every single page. This book is very different from Borison’s Lovelight Farms series, and I could not be happier about it. Borison outdid herself with this one. It is everything I have always thought a really, really good romance book needs: love, yearning, heartache, nostalgia, and immaculate Christmas vibes. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I hoped and in the end, I was rewarded with a six-star romance. This book is perfection in the form of a romance novel. Good Spirits truly lifted my spirits during the Christmas season and made everything feel so much cozier and sweeter. I already look forward to the second installment of the Ghosted series, Grim Tidings, which comes out in September 2026. Until then, Good Spirits will hold a special place in my heart.
