I'm a bit unsure about this one. Hayes is gorgeous, the definition of an (at first) kinda naive cutie, who's so pure and carries his heart on his sleeve. I've laughed a lot about what he said or did, especially his bubbly-can't-shut-up-persona and the character development he's gone through was great. Rylan is a great book boyfriend, and his parents were perfection. I loved the characters and also their romantic development (and the revelation that you personally come first and should be happy without a specific relationship status), but the book had some flaws for me personally. It was a bit slow moving, and it took me quite a while to finish this book, because I wasn't really hooked and got distracted easily and a LOT. The book was quite spicy - not regarding the intensity or the existence of kink or something, but there just were a lot of spicy scenes, which slow down a book for me personally if they're not really necessary or not built up to enough and just "there". It wasn't super emotional, and not every book needs to be, but I love Riley's deeper books so much, and since this one couldn't suck me in as much, something was missing for me - either more banter, more depth or something that really makes me root for the couple. An established relationship were they're in the relationship without knowing and this being the great story towards the ending just isn't my thing. Besides that, I'll sure be following the next releases in this series as well, a club of exboyfriends of a cheating douchebag is a gorgeous setting, and I'd love for the next books - or even another series - to include more hockey and the Rebels. I want Mads to be a part of any book please!
