Nachdem ich die „Mindfuck series“ der Autorin geliebt habe, wollte ich unbedingt mehr von ihr lesen. Ohne den Klappentext zu lesen habe ich mich dann für dieses Buch entschieden. Ich hatte nur gelesen „Four psychos“ und „Dark side“ und „reverse harem“. Daher wusste ich nicht was auf mich zukommt und war dann etwas überrascht vom Inhalt. Die Protagonistin ist ein Gespenst oder so etwas ähnliches und lebt an einem Ort mit vier Männer-Monstern. Was auch immer die Figuren alle sind. Den Inhalt habe ich so ehrlich nicht erwartet und habe dann das lesen nach 1-2 Kapitel pausiert, weil es doch nicht das war, was ich erwartet hatte. Deshalb habe ich dann das englische Hörbuch dazu gehört was auf jeden Fall eine besondere Erfahrung für mich war. Der Inhalt ist lustig, seltsam und definitiv sehr besonders. Ich kann dieses Buch mit keinem Buch vergleichen welches ich je gelesen habe. Es war interessant, seltsam und besonders. Mich interessiert wie die Geschichte weitergeht, aber mal schauen ob ich die Reihe wirklich weiterführe.
Ganz gute paranormale Reverse Harem Story
Ich fand das Hörbuch ganz gut. Es ist ein bisschen verwirrend, da weder die Protagonistin noch die 4 Männer über ihre Vergangenheiten Bescheid wissen und alle über viele Aspekte im Dunklen tappen. Die Story handelt von Kayla, die ein Geist ist und ihre 4 Männer, an die sie in irgendeiner Form gebunden ist, in teuflischen Prüfungen beschützt. Auch wenn die Männer dies zunächst nicht wirklich wertschätzen, fangen alle Parteien unwillentlich an sich gegenseitig anzunähern. Mit 6 Stunden ist das Hörbuch ziemlich kurz und so viel passiert in diesem Teil nicht. Ich bin gespannt, ob der nächste Teil mehr Action bereit hält.
I was pretty surprised when I found out this was a fantasy story. In a positive way. Just want to mention that. However, the beginning caught my interest and also left me with a lot of questions (imagine me with a lot of questionmarks like some cartoon character) But I wasn‘t concerned because there was enough time for the book to explain the world and introduce the characters and so on. Just the book didn‘t. I enjoyed reading it, don‘t get me wrong. But I feel nearly as clueless after finishing as when I started reading the book, and this feeling doesn‘t sit right with me. I also feel like the only character I really got to know was the female lead (and let’s say she had no memories from the time BEFORE she met the guys😅) All of that sounds pretty negative but actually I‘m not gonna lie: I did enjoy reading this book and had a lot of fun. I‘m just not sure if I should continue this series… if I ever get answers if I do… if I ever get to know the guys… if I get a chance to understand the world… 3/5⭐️
*In the process of re-reading my favorite books and giving a new try to books I DNF-ed* It's my second time reading this book, I decided to read the first three books again before reading the last book in the series. And it's just as good as the first time, if not better because everything makes sense. Not that when you read it the first time it doesn't make sense, but some details have a whole other meaning you can only see when re-reading this book after knowing the full story. Aaaanyway, Keyla/Ghost girl and her four not-so-friendly psychos are just so delightful to read about. The whole world building is so well done and the characters are so promising. I love this book so much I could rave about it all day.
