Ich hatte das Buch zuerst im englischen Original (Titel: Forever Amber), irgendwann später auf Deutsch gelesen. Auf Englisch war ich völlig geflasht und habe das Buch in Windeseile verschlungen, für die deutsche Übersetzung hätte ich nur noch 4 Sterne 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 vergeben, mag aber auch daran liegen, dass der Spannungsbogen beim erneuten Lesen natürlich nicht genauso aufrechterhalten werden kann. Den englischen Film findet man übrigens auf Youtube, aber er ist aus heutiger Sicht veraltet und gibt sowieso in keiner Weise die Güte des Buches wider.
