Leider konnte mich Fool Me Twice nicht so überzeugen, wie ich es nach dem Klappentext gedacht hatte. Wenn man auf der Suche nach einem Buch mit viel Smut ist, dann ist man hier definitiv an der richtigen Adresse. Aber leider haben die Charaktere für mich nicht so gut funktioniert, wie ich es mir gewünscht hatte. Ihr einziger Character trait war, dass sie beide horny aufeinander waren und mehr war an ihren Charakteren leider nicht, was ich persönlich sehr schade fand, weil man aus der Prämisse viel mehr hätte machen können. Er war für mich auch die personifizierte toxische Männlichkeit, weshalb ich mit ihm einfach nicht warm werden konnte. Ich fand es an sich witzig, aber leider nicht genug, damit es mich mitreißen konnte. [Rezensionsexemplar]
Henley and Lincoln’s story is a different from all the others. Henley has her brain set to that bucket list that she didn’t think about falling for Lincoln. It was a up and down and I was always wondering how he would know what was really going on and at the end it was so sad I really don’t want to spoiler anything but this is a book worth reading it was really good and a easy and quick read. So if you’re looking for a heartbreaking story this is one of them in my opinion. And the end is just chefs kiss.
