3.5/5 This is going to be a very short review: Was I entertained? Yes, I was. Will I remember anything of this book in the very near future? … which book? A steamy romance novel with a dip in the dark romance genre (it felt like testing the water temperature with not even my big toe, but one of the smaller, more insignificant ones), following around our FMC und MMC in very confined space and time frames. If you are looking for a quick read, which romance part takes off pretty early on leading to well written spice, this might work very well for you. The Dual POV is the cherry on top. Follow also does not leap into the “if a slightly darker romance novel doesn’t include these kinks” kind of pit but focuses on a less frequently portrayed kink which was a nice surprise. It is not as overdone as some of the others. I’m not a fan (understatement of the year) of third act breakups or non-communication tropes, but it was bearable here. Concluding: a fun read with well written spice as diverting entertainment? Do it, pick it up. Expecting the love story of a century or the darkest, dirtiest smut you’ve ever read? Probably rather move along.
