Very cozy and highly readable with lots of 1920's atmosphere. I really enjoyed that women played such a prominent role and I like that the author took so much note of the repercussions of WWI. However, the crime plot itself seemed at times too simple and in the end the conclusion came all too sudden. It felt slightly incongruous. However, I overall enjoyed myself immensely as I am a huge fan of the Roaring Twenties and will definitely read other volumes of the series. As historical fiction very vivid and stylish, a lot of fun, as crime novel somehow still lacking a bit.
