Der vierte und letzte Teil der Reihe ist mehr eine Fantasywelt-Actiongeschichte als ein Fantasykrimi. Ein grosser Teil des Buches spielt in der Anderswelt, und sehr viel Zeit wird mit Kämpfen verbracht. Für mich war es zu viel, auch zu viel Hin und Her. Es fühlt sich an wie eine dieser Filmreihen, bei der der erste Teil gut ist, und dann jeder folgende Teil immer mehr in Materialschlachten ausartet, und dadurch langweilig wird. Ich fand die ursprüngliche Idee eines Teams, das übernatürliche Todesfälle aufklärt, viel besser als die nunmehrige Ausdehnung auf eine Schlacht zwischen den Welten. Auch ist eine Fortsetzung, die wieder an die ersten Bände anknüpft, gar nicht möglich, und der Schluss war mir zu plötzlich und schnell. Schade, einer dieser Fälle, bei denen der Autor dem "es muss immer mehr und grösser werden" verfiel, was ja viel zu oft schlecht ist.
