Considering I have never actually watched Hamish MacBeth ever, I walked into this with a very open mind. I love MC Beaton and her Agatha Raisin series and this I liked too. It was funny, original, a proper who done it without a whole rig-ma-role that you need to get through 400 for. Hamish in my head is very different looking from Robert Carlyle so I think I will stick to the books rather than the series. I totally recommend if you love MC Beatons Agatha Raisin, or just like an easy who don it. Well worth a read.
