Shy, introverted and slightly awkward pathologist Tristan Everett gets forced to mingle in a pub with his co-workers where he spots a gorgeous man but before he can escape, he chokes on a rogue ice-cube, dies in the arms of the hunk, and when he saves him, Tristan suddenly has the gift of seeing and talking to ghosts. First and foremost the unique drag queen Miz Dusty Le Frey who needs him to help with her murder. Add in that the inspector of this case, Danny Hayes, is the beautiful man in whose arms Tristan died and you have a very chaotic situation he finds himself in. I had a blast! This was fun, quirky, with wonderful characters. So happy I didn't stay away because of the reviews as this was my type of quirky humour. And the little surprise at the end means I need to find book 2, like immediately! A few minuses for the disappearance of Tristan's workplace and his coworkers even though this was 5 minutes ago where he spent pretty much all his time, and the out-of-nowhere murderer - and I still had fun, and that is saying something for a crime story.
Insgesamt mochte ich die Geschichte. Zwar war die Grundidee keine neue, aber durch die Diversität hatte es einen neuen frischen Touch. Die characters waren interessant und abwechslungsreich und teilweise war es witzig aber auch emotional. Allerdings fand ich für den ganzen Ermittlungsaspekt viel zu wenig und zu langsam vor allem da man die Sicht des ermittlers hatte, zumindest hat es sich so angefühlt. Dafür waren andere Themen gut präsentiert und die Liebesgeschichte war auch süß wenn auch schnell. Das Ende hat mich gefreut und ich bin gespannt wie es weiter geht
