It's a quick and easy read, but unfortunately not very suspenseful. A good mystery shows instead of tells, but there was no exploring clues, the story just jumped from one theory to the next, the suspect changing in every chapter. The beginning of the book was promising, I was excited for the camping trip setting and possibly some fall vibes but it didn't give me the dark, mysterious and adventurous vibes I would have expected. All in all a basic, predictable YA mystery. Lots of build up, not much of a conclusion. If you haven't read a lot of YA mystery you might enjoy it, but there are better ones out there.
