I quite liked this book. It did not rock my world but I enjoyed it. You know what I mean? I was not in anyway boring but when my infant was making herself known, I was not like thinking about letting her wail just a tiny bit longer just to finish the sections...not that I would do it...but I mean the thought at least did not cross my mind. So the book it self as the other reviews said, has a different plot than normally. It was a little similar to the Chicago demon series but not in a bad way. I liked most of the people but to be honest not that many were introduced. Only Roman got on my nerve. I mean the only thing coming from his sections were *need to protect* caveman style. I guess this was also part of the plot as the main character kind of had a inner monologue about it. So I do not really have anything to complain but if I could wish something for book number two would be more plot and actions and less inner monologues and stuff because in hind sight I spend hours reading this book and so far we have seen like 5 settings? Maybe 10? Anyway it was a good read and I do not need to wash out my brain afterwards. But I am not having little daydreams thinking about how this book is going to continue. BTW I read it on Amazon Unlimited which I quite enjoy.
