You know what the book is lacking? - Dialogue 🙃
I'm not the biggest fan of second-chance romances. In fact, I'm not even sure if I should call this one that. Apparently, they weren't even together in the first place (thanks, Cam 🙄). But this one wasn't executed very well 🫤 The book was quite short, yet I still found the storyline boring. On top of that, I didn't feel the love between Cam and Riley. Honestly, I didn't care about the characters or the story. Cam kind of pissed me off, though. I didn’t like him at first when he rejected Riley, and when they met again, he acted like the biggest asshole. I understand that he grew up in difficult circumstances, but that behavior was not it. I really felt bad for Riley and could definitely relate to his feelings The one thing I absolutely disliked, though, was the writing style. There was so much description and not enough dialogue. Unfortunately, that destroyed my whole reading experience The spice wasn't bad, and I liked the kinky stuff, but it wasn't anything special. Again, there was too much description and not enough dialogue 🤷🏼♀️ To be fair, everything in this book was mediocre, so it’s hard to rate or comment on It's not a bad book, but quite a few things could have been done better!
