Wie ich auf diese Geschichte gewartet habe! Und wieder einmal hat mich Brees Schreibstil gefesselt. Ich habe eine große Schwäche für Geschichten, in denen aus Freunden Liebende werden, und diese war einfach fantastisch. Packend, intensiv, ein Auf und Ab der Gefühle. Matty hat mein Herz erobert. Er ist ein großer, manchmal unbeholfener Kerl, mit dem Herzen am rechten Fleck. Er will das Beste für alle, ist aber blind dafür, was (oder wer) für ihn selbst am besten ist! Und Xed, der einfach nur zurück geliebt werden will. Er hat mich mit seiner Art, sich um Hannah zu kümmern, als wäre sie sein eigenes Blut, für sich gewonnen. Auch diese Geschichte hat mir mehr als einmal Tränen in die Augen getrieben. Und ich bin gespannt, was für eine folgen wird! How I waited for this story. And once again, Bree's writing style captivated me. I have a huge weakness for "friends to lovers" stories, and this one was simply fantastic. Gripping, intense, full of emotion. Matty has my whole heart. He's a big, clumsy guy with his heart in the right place. He wants the best for everyone, but is blind to what (or who) is best for himself! And Xed, who just wants to be loved back. He won me over with the way he cares for Hannah as if she were his own blood. This story, too, brought tears to my eyes more than once. And I'm excited for the next one!
