I‘ve already met Preston and Kian in Trick me twice, and after following Carter and Raine through their book, I was pretty excited how Cross the line would turn out. Especially since the story unfolds parallel (regarding the time line) to Trick me twice, also starting around Halloween. I was a little bit disappointed not to see more of their rivalry. I mean, yeah it‘s only 108 pages long, but I wouldn‘t call it enemies to lovers though. However, I enjoyed how they act around each other and how they support another. Kian and Preston are broth like– and relateable, and I enjoyed following them around. The pacing was too fast in my opinion. I understand why it was like that – but I feel like this story could have been so much more, and it didn‘t tap the full potential🤷♀️ 3/5⭐
