Was für ein gutes Buch. Der Schreibstil hat mir super gut gefallen, ich habe das Buch förmlich inhaliert! Das Beste an dem ganzen ist, dass ich absolut nicht damit gerechnet habe. Em ist so ein toller Charakter und ich liebe Fantasy und Romanceanteil in diesem Buch gleich sehr. Ein super spannendes Ende machen Lust auf mehr. Das Buch gibt hin und wieder ACOTAR Vibes, allerdings im absolut positiven Sinne. Es wirkt zu keiner Zeit wie eine Art Kopie. Für jemanden wie mich der ACOTAR so sehr liebt einfach nur toll. Ich bin wirklich begeistert und freue mich jetzt schon auf die gesamte Reihe, hoffentlich können die Fortsetzungen mithalten ❤️☺️ Wirklich ein neuer Liebling! Dieses Buch braucht mehr Hype!!!
Hat mir überraschend gut gefallen! Steamy (und das wirklich gut, oft catchen mich die sexy Beschreibungen nicht so - aber hier? Meine Güte 🥵😬), enemies to lovers, gut geschriebene und glaubhafte Charaktere. Gerade die FMC hat mir richtig gut gefallen. Einziger Negativpunkt: leider kein Stand-Alone.
Ein guter Auftakt, der zweite Band wird auf jeden Fall (vielleicht sogar als direkt nächstes Projekt) gelesen✨
Bei gehypeten Buchempfehlungen oder BookTok/Tube Entdeckungen versuche ich meine Erwartungen im Zaum zu halten. Aber ich kann zufrieden sagen: Bei dem Überfluss an Fae-Fantasy momentan, macht „A Court of Blood and Bindings“ mal etwas anderes. Zwar noch ein paar wiederkehrende Elemente (à la J. Maas), aber allein das Magiesystem hat endlich einen originellen Twist, was meiner Meinung nach bei Fae-Fantasy eher vernachlässigt wird. Die Protagonistin ist sympathisch und die Verwendung von Gebärdensprache eine angenehme und erfrischende Repräsentation (als jemand, der nicht auf sie angewiesen ist muss ich anmerken).
This was an enjoyable, thrilling read with some amazing world building, characters and spicy banter! You get a super intriguing and unique fantasy world with this series. Did you ever read about magic drawn form literal colors? No? Me neither. Such a special thing, love that! Besides the color magic, you meet magical creatures of all kind - from your well known and beloved fae to alves and phoenixes. And within this world we follow the human Emelin, who posses fae magic. Which causes her to get taken away by the Silent Death. A mute assassin that tales and stories are told about. The favored weapon of the queen in this world. Not only have those two some ambitious mission they want to fulfill. But they also provide us with a thrilling slow burn with some amazing banter and flirting. Don’t let anyone fool you, Creon being mute does not even remotely take away his ability to make you swoon and simp. It also created a special dynamic between these two, initially only able to communicate in writing, from his side. (My only criticism, in that regard, is is that those two learnt sign language a tad too fast in a beckons fluent way to be believable. Your telling me after a day they were able to hold full conversations without struggling once? An exciting fantasy romance and a promising start to a series, that I’m eager to continue! 4
