My first ever alien romance and surprisingly hasn't turned me another way after reading it. Since this is my first ever alien romance book, I really enjoyed the new kind of world building that has been thrusted upon me. It's so clever how the aliens and the humans are able to understand each other through the translating devices. It's so cool to see and understand how much more evolved they are and that earth is basically low-tier living. I'd like to imagine this is exactly how it would be if there were aliens out there. They're just choosing to ignore us because of our crude lifestyle for money and relationships. It was weird for me at first but then as Jade was, I started to warm up to the whole idea of the story. I expected another kind of climax to the story however. I thought there would be this huge fight between Jade and Theo about trust, alas, I am still pretty content to the plot that we received. Definitely will be putting the next book in this series on my tbr.

This was a nice book. Pretty typical Mars needs women. The main character wakes up on an alien planet and has to take part in the usual wedding ceremony to stay on this planet. The guy she choses to be married to is Theo (which was so funny cause throughout the beginning of the book, you meet all those alien-names aliens and bam, main love interest's name is Theo), Theo whom is pretty suspicious of our girl because he has never been chosen before, because he is pretty heavily scared. And the rest of the story revolves around interesting, and pretty original plot points, especially revolving around a mad scientist trying to keep race purity while solving the infertility problem within the race.

Let me introduce you to my new OBSESSION It’s not a secret at how much I love the Mars needs Women Trope but this one really did an outstanding job! I really loved the atmosphere and the world building was really great. I wouldn’t mind getting abducted to a planet where the men actually go to HUSBANDRY SCHOOL. yes you read that right. husbandry. school. sigh. our education system has to do better. But the sheer unpredictability of what was coming really pulled me in. The world building was absolutely amazing. You never knew what was to come. The Heroine was no naive butt with no backbone but a actually relatable and real character. The Hero was… I don’t know how to say it. He was perfection guys. Exactly how I want my man To sum it up just go read it and thank me later Reread 04/01/2022 *sighs* yes it’s still as good as the first time I’ve read it. What else can i say? Theo is my man and Victoria Aveline one of my favorite sci-fi authors
