She was claimed by Death… but she refuses to belong to anyone who doesn’t earn her. Gods, jealousy, and one fierce Omega who demands respect instead of prophecy. If love in the Underworld starts with chaos, just wait for the reckoning.
I really enjoyed the first book of this trilogy, even though Hades made it very hard at the beginning. Sera is bound to the God of Death because he believes she is his lost mate Persephone reborn, the same Persephone who betrayed him and vanished two thousand years ago. The problem? Sera may carry Persephone’s soul, but she is her own fierce, independent woman and she refuses to be treated like a ghost of someone else. Hades starts off as an absolute asshole, treating his Omega so poorly that I genuinely questioned whether he deserved her at all. His grief-fueled possessiveness and jealousy create intense tension within the developing mate circle. Thankfully, Maliki stands up to him, bringing strength and loyalty while refusing to let Sera be diminished. And Morpheus? My silent hero. Patient, respectful, and so sweet in the way he honors her boundaries. Once Maliki finally understands his feelings, he goes above and beyond, showering Sera with the love and adoration an Omega deserves. And he even gets the approval to do so from Hades. I’m desperately hoping the next book gives us a fully united mate circle.
