Warum sind die Bücher, die am längsten auf meinem Sub versauern, irgendwie immer die besten? Dieses Buch war ein Meisterwerk. Tragisch. Poetisch. Schön. Die Autorin hat wirklich einen außergewöhnlichen und bildgewaltigen Schreibstil, der einen alles Mögliche fühlen lässt. Wut und Verzweiflung aber auch Liebe und Heilung. Die Story war unglaublich fesselnd und ich habe so sehr mitgefiebert und gehofft, dass unsere beiden Protagonisten Adora und Stone ein Happy End bekommen. Es handelt sich um ein Dark Romantasy Buch mit Hexen und verfeindeten Hexenzirkeln, wobei ich finde, dass die Liebesgeschichte eindeutig im Fokus lag. Es geht darum, dass Adora eines Tages einen ans Land gespülten Mann findet, den sie auf Bone Island versteckt, aus Angst, dass er sonst von den Dorfbewohnern getötet werden würde. Die beiden kommen sich langsam näher, dabei ist Adora bereits jemand anderem versprochen. Und was sie zudem nicht weiß: Stone ist ein Heathen, er gehört also einem verfeindeten Hexenzirkel an. Und ist somit alles, was Adora verabscheut. Trope: Forbidden Love Ich fand Bone Island absolut großartig.
Didn‘t plan on reading the second book, but since my mum giftet it to me for Christmas I startet it. And I‘m glad I did. Half way in and the winter vibes are vibing. This story is way more epic and the love story on whole another level. Really love both characters and the pros are immaculate. Could be my first 5 ⭐️ of 2026. And it is a 5 ⭐️ ❤️
