Studious Spencer meets college frat-boy and player heart-throb Cory when the latter parks in his parking space. A loud argument ensues when Spencer tells Cory everything he thinks about privileged, entitled frat boys. That incident of course sparks Cory to make a bet with his frat brothers about bedding the geek. Oh dear. Now I was ready to finally remember that I am allowed to dnf, life's too short and all that, but somehow pushed through the first 30 sth % thinking that both MCs are absolutely unlikeable, horrible characters. And I will stick with that feeling. But for quite a change there was a lot of grovelling, and pleading, and begging for forgiveness, and attempts to learn and be better. Did that make it a wonderful book? No. But certainly better than what I felt during the first 30 some % so I guess it was good that I pushed through.
plot-wise three stars and overall pretty basic but super cute so maybe four stars? The problem with this whole bet-driven plot is that you know how the story is going to unfold, and like that it's never going to be incredible interesting but you know that from the blurb... so I shouldn't complain aaand it's hot so I'll go with four stars
