Für Fans eine tolle Ergänzung
Es handelt sich bei diesem Buch um eine Novelle, die zeitlich parallel zum Ende von Band 3 einsetzt und zu Beginn von Band 4 endet. Wir erfahren Thomas Sicht der Dinge und nach 4 Bänden nur aus Audrey Rose Sicht konnte ich mir das natürlich nicht entgehen lassen. Da es ein recht kurzes Buch ist und die Story an sich auch bekannt, durch die Hauptreihe, werde ich dazu jetzt natürlich nicht weiter ins Detail gehen. Aber ich fand es unterhaltsam. Weniger Show mehr Tell, im typischen Stil von Kerri Maniscalco, den ich, obwohl ich sie bisher nur in der Übersetzung gelesen habe, sofort wiedererkannte. 😊 Allen Fans der Reihe kann ich es daher echt empfehlen. 😊
Endlich Thomas Sicht
Während der gesamten Reihe habe ich mir gewünscht endlich mal aus Thomas Sicht lesen zu können, weshalb ich mich unglaublich gefreut habe, als ich von der Novelle erfahren habe. Der Anfang war für mich persönlich langweilig, aber ich kann verstehen, warum man sich diesen Teil ausgesucht hat, um ihn aus seiner Sicht wiederzugeben. Ansonsten haben mich Thomas Sicht und seine Gedankengänge nicht im geringsten enttäuscht. Gerade die zweite Hälfte war richtig schön zu lesen. Ich wäre ja dafür, dass wir die gesamte Reihe nochmal aus seiner Sicht bekommen 👀

Eine super schöne Novelle
Endlich ein Einblick von Thomas Cresswell auf die Geschehnisse der RMS Etruria und kurz danach. Die Novelle kann, aber muss nicht unbedingt zwischen Teil 3 und 4 der Stalking Jack the Ripper Reihe gelesen werden, aber es ist wirklich ein sehr schöner und süßer Zusatz zu der Hauptreihe🥹
Unnötig. Bei dem Titel hätte man eine Vorgeschichte zb von Thomas erwartet. Man bekommt stattdessen Thomas Blickwinkel auf die letzzten Kapitel von Band 3. Und hat keinerlei Erkenntnisgewinn. Weder ercährt man über Thomas selbst neues noch über seine Gefühle oder irgendetwas. Mir hätte absolut nichts gefehlt, wenn ich das Ganze nicht gelesen hätte.

I just think that this novella was completely unnecessary and added absolutely nothing. I know it’s only a novella yet it added absolutely nothing to the narrative since we see the end of [b: Escaping from Houdini|30375937|Escaping from Houdini (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #3)|Kerri Maniscalco|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1516896737l/30375937._SX50_.jpg|50890360] in Thomas’s POV. His voice wasn’t dissimilar to Audrey Rose’s. For someone planning to read the series: you can easily skip this one.
Ich LIEBE LIEBE LIEBE diese reihe und als ich erfahren habe, dass mein Lieblings-Boy Thomas James Dorin Cresswell seine eigene Novelle bekommt war ich super gehyped. ich konnte es nicht Weglesen.die 80 Seiten flogen nur so dahin und ich habe geweint, geseufzt manchmal auch geschrien. Es fühlte sich an wie eine viel zu gute Fanfiction, weil es für mich all das erfüllt hat was ich wollte: Eine jede Menge Cressworth xD Capturing the Devil kann kommen.
This novella made up for the mess that was EFH! It was so lovely to read what was going through Thomas' head during some of the scenes from Escaping from Houdini and to read a bit about what was going on after everything that happened. But how am I supposed to wait two more months on CTD?!? This is not fair!
