**** Worum geht es? & Mein Eindruck **** Ich bin ein Fan von Kurzgeschichten und habe mich gefreut, endlich mal wieder ein Buch aus einzelnen kurzen Momenten lesen zu können. Vor allem der Titel fand ich interessant gewählt, da der Klappentext eher skurril und beängstigend klang. Ich wollte mich überraschen lassen, doch zu keiner der Kurzgeschichten konnte ich wirklich Zugang finden. Normalerweise habe ich damit kein Problem. Der Schreibstil konnte mich jedoch nicht überzeugen; es fehlte mir an versteckten Botschaften, die die eigentliche Message transportierten. Jede Geschichte war ähnlich aufgebaut, vom Erzähler dominiert, auch wenn der Inhalt stark variierte. Am Ende blieb alles leise und undurchschaubar. Nach der Hälfte des Buches war ich wirklich enttäuscht und habe es nach langem Überlegen abgebrochen. Ich kann die Kurzbewertung im Klappentext persönlich nicht ganz nachvollziehen – am Ende bleibt es wohl eine Frage des Geschmacks. Manche Szenen waren so skurril, dass ein Gefühl von Horror in mir aufkam. Ob das beabsichtigt war, bleibt wohl jedem Leser selbst überlassen. Viel Hoffnung schwang für mich auf jeden Fall nicht mit. Mir fehlte es an Aussagekraft und Stärke. Schade. **** Empfehlung? **** Es fällt mir immer schwer, ein Buch zu empfehlen, das ich selbst abgebrochen habe. Bei dieser Lektüre denke ich vor allem an Leser*innen, die ruhig sind und bis ins kleinste Detail in die Zeilen hineinhören. Bist du so jemand?
