The book teels the story of a siblings whose grandfather owns a magical preserve. The preserve itself is very dangerouse at night. The children learns about the preserve and its inhabitants. W gen the summer soltice(Kupala night) arrives, Seth opens a window, something his grandfather forbade him to do. Evil creatures invade the house. Dale menaged to protect the children. The next day the children learn their grandomther is a chicken. They go to the wich Muriel and ask to be transformed into a human exchange from freeing her from her bonds. The witch releases the demon Bahumat, and Fablehaven faces destruction. Fortunately, Kendra saves her family from Muriel and Bahumat, aided by fairies who transform her into their sister.

I think so, the book is worth reading. It teaches many things, such as love for family etc.
